One of the test star player of South Africa wants to show his expertise and wants to extend his good forms overseas. His name is Markram. It is less than a year of his career and he has completed fastest 1000 runs in test cricket. Now he is at first position in test cricket fastest 1000 run-scorer for South Africa. He achieved this milestone on 10th match of test career.

Till now, he has played all test matches at his home ground but he is curious to maintain his form overseas also. Markram was the skipper who begs ICC World cup under-19 for South Africa in 2014.

The common difference between Indian subcontinents and other countries pitches is that Indian subcontinents pitches supports spinners where other countries like Australia, New Zealand, South Africa give good supports to fast bowlers.

At this time he is on tour of Sri Lanka. They have practiced at Galle stadium of Srilanka.

In his training session a journalist asked some questions then he replied-

"Obviously it's going to be very different. Any sub-continent condition is going to be the very difficult challenge to South Africa. I am looking forward to it. It's been winter back in the home. We have been trying to stimulate playing in conditions here as the ball stays a bit lower,"

He also said-

"It is really important for me to do well here. As an opening batsman, if you get a good start, you are helping your team to end up in a good position. I am excited to do well, but I am not going to put any additional pressure on me because it is outside South Africa. I don't want to be labeled as the guy who only does well in home conditions,"

So it is interesting to see his innings against Sri Lanka because this is his first overseas tournament.
