Asia cup 2018 has finished. Few records have made and few have broken. In this journey, the Indian team got a new successful captain for the team. As we all know, Rohit Sharma was captain in this tournament for the Indian team. Regular Skipper, Virat Kohli was on rest during this tournament. The rest of Kohli, raise a question in the mind of all cricket fans, does Indian team have chances to win Asia cup. Without Kohli, Indian team perform well or not. There is such many numbers of questions raised after team announcement of India.
Now all have gotten an answer that India can perform well without Kohli. It is obvious, we can not say a single player is the backbone of the whole team. That is what proved by the Indian team in Asia cup.
If we analyze the batting of Indian team during Asia cup tournament, it was world class performance. Indian openers did excellent work during the whole tournament. They gave good starts in the most of the matches. Shikhar Dhawan and Skipper Rohit Sharma proved himself dangerous for bowlers. Shikhar Dhawan works like Do not wait, It is going late. As he comes on the crease started to hit big shots. He was selected as Man of the series of Aisa cup for his best performance during whole Asia cup. Rohit Sharma did a bad performance in the first match against Hongkong but after that excellent work started by him.
Now, this is good for team India that selectors have time to choose who will be the best captain for World cup 2019. The world cup is not so far, so the team must be prepared for this mega tournament.
Excellent work also was done by Kedar Jadhav. His bowling becomes puzzled for Pakistan as well other teams. He became dangerous in this tournament. After all, we can say team performed well. Yes, there is the lack in the middle order of team India. The team should be careful about this for future.
