Do you know what makes test cricket unique in its type, test cricket not only tests your abilities your skillset but your mental toughness. Get hit by a bouncer and still fight for your team to survive the game, It is incredible!!!!. As a viewer, you always love to see the aggression on the field. Aggression does not mean verbal or physical duels. Mathew Hayden once said " All this going around is not aggression. If you want to see aggression look into Rahul Dravid's eyes."
This is what makes Test Cricket exciting and fascinating, which today's generation does not understand or value( But I do). Today's generation kid may not understand that a draw played after the end of 5 days is a good result. Seeing the batsman jumping on the pitch, bowlers giving batsman a stare, Bouncer which completely rattles the batsman followed by a crisply played drive, salvaging a draw for your team on the last day of a test. These things just make me go WOW!!!
SOME EPIC DUELS-
Andrew Flintoff vs Jack Kallis
Freddie was exquisite, every time I see him bowl. It creates a sense of fear in me. That action is so damn scary. Jumping off across and bowling from wide across. Here the way Flintoff rattles a very well set Kallis is incredible.
Neil Wagner vs Smith and Wade
The Aussies must have counted if all their ribs are intact after this series. Whenever Kane Williamson required a wicket this man, was always there for him. His short-pitched bowling skills here could actually have impressed the tall and nasty fast bowlers back from the glory days of West Indies Cricket.
Ishant Sharma vs Ricky Ponting
Here was a tall and lanky 19-year-old bowler banging some deadly inswingers to one of the greats of the game. That one hour really shook Ponting. Thus writing the script of India's memorable win in Australia.
Virat Kohli vs Mitchell Johnson
This was fierce really fierce and damn high on aggression. The eyes of both these guys show the intensity of the duel.
Flintoff vs Ponting
I rate the Ashes 2005 at par to India Australia 2001 both these conflicts were worth watching. Another deadly performance by Flintoff, he steems in just like a tracer bullet making Ponting jump all over the crease.
Steve Waugh vs Curtly Ambrose
You might have heard Steve Waugh was the master of mental toughness, Here is the reason why
Allan Donald vs Michael Atherton
" You should have gone for the head," says Thanos but Donald shows how to do it while playing cricket
