He was declared fit and he will now be available for selection for the third Test starting August 18 as India look to turn tables after losing the first two Tests of the five-match series.
Bumrah missed all of India's matches in England so far - 3 T20Is, 3 ODIs and 2 Tests - after injuring his left thumb in the first T20I against Ireland in Dublin.
India captain Virat Kohli is "excited" to have Jasprit Bumrah available for selection for the third Test against England in Trent Bridge.
"Very excited with Jasprit getting fit again. He is an attacking bowler...he bowls good lines and lengths. He is very consistent in hitting the lengths that are required at the Test level. He has shown that in South Africa already. He is one guy who is very aggressive in his mind and wants to take the situation and make the batsmen uncomfortable in the middle. He relishes the challenge whenever given an opportunity. So we are very excited that he is coming back. He is a quality bowler and it's great to have him on the park," Kohli said on the eve of the Nottingham Test.
The Indian captain said he was feeling "absolutely fine" after battling a stiff back during the Lord's Test. He needed treatment during the match. However, he trained and batted at nets on Thursday and did not look in any kind of discomfort.
"I am feeling fine, absolutely fine. It has been an issue that has been coming on and off. I got it in 2011 the first time. It happens with the work load.
"The back is such a thing you do not know when it going to go off so all you can do is strengthen muscles around it and work on it.. a bit of strengthening, ample rest and proper rehab to get back into shape. I have had it a couple of times before so I knew how to handle it," he said.

Kohli said with the series on the line, there is no room for India to think of anything else other than winning the third Test. If India lose in Nottingham next week, it will only be the second series defeat for Kohli the skipper.
These are therefore desperate times but Virat Kohli has already cautioned his men against panicking.
India walk into another England fortress in a bid to stay alive in Test series
"The only thing we have spoken of us is what the team requires at all times in this Test match. When your back is against the wall, you can't afford to think of anything else," Kohli said.
"The only conversation we have had is that the only option is to win this Test and nothing else. You need to show that in your body language, in your intent and the way you go about things.. it's all about you feeling positive first. That is the conversation we have had in the last few days and like I said, it's now up to the individuals to stand up and say I am going to go out there and make a difference.
Thanks for Readings
