Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan has suffered a hamstring injury against Bangladesh in the last match of the League Twenty20 series in Bangladesh yesterday. He was injured in the eighth over of Bangladesh's innings.
After the treatment, he had to leave the field. After a while he returned, still walking. Rashid, however, swung the ball into the hands of the team. But he could not save the team.
Rashid came into the bowling attack for the first time in the 14th over. In his first over, he picked up Mahmudullah Riyad of Bangladesh and put Afghans in the fight. In the next over, Afif Hossain made his dream of winning the match for Afghanistan. But Shakib Al Hasan and Mosaddek Hossain brought Rashid to 18 for the third over. In the end, Bangladesh won by 4 wickets for an unbeaten 70 off 45 balls.
There was no loss to Afghanistan in this match rate. Their big thoughts now are with captain Rashid Khan. Because his game is uncertain in the final on September 24. "We still cannot say for sure whether Rashid will be able to play in the final," team manager Nazim Jar Abdur Rahman Jai said. His injury has improved. There are still two or three days. Hopefully, his injury is not serious. He's the best player in our team. He will be kept under close watch. Waiting till the end, we will take the theory.'
