Since we started our player profiles, we have seemingly focused on a few countries. These would include countries such as New Zealand, England, Australia, and South Africa. We have also on certain occasions talked about players from India and Sri Lanka including the great Virat Kohli. However, today, we would be going to an entirely new country. That country is Barbados. One of the players which would surely stand out on this island would definitely be Kemar Roach. So who is he and what has he done for his country.

Kemar Roach is currently among the top-ranked players according to the famous ICC rankings. Hence, there is no doubt that he has pure quality and talent in what he does. Aged 31, he has surely been around for quite some time for both his domestic cricket and for his international team. He also manages to play for the West Indies and this has occurred in both the ODI format and the Test series. His stage on the international scene opened when he played for his country in the Under-19 team. From then on, it was clear that he would become fixed to all his country’s endeavor like a sticky glue that would not budge.

He would go on to make his international debut for the senior team ten years ago when he played against Bangladesh. The reason for his involvement came at a stage when West Indies had an issue of a player strike. However, after playing, his bowling technique and his quality of play convinced them to keep him in the squad despite the end of the strike. That would foray his first involvement in all things Cricket. one of the reasons why he is really liked by most teams is because he is a fast bowler. You would not see many bowlers around who would be able to move the ball at about 1.73 meters a sec. That is simply ridiculous and what Kemar is really made up of.

From his play, it was clear that he would not stay long before actually breaking one of the records held by his country. In 2012, he became the only player for West Indies to take more than ten wickets in a single game. This record has not been broken since 2005. From 2010 upwards, Kemar has really been breaking records and playing at the top of his game for his club and country. There is no doubt that they would want this to continue for some time to come.

Conclusion

The West Indies and the Antigua Hawksbills would surely not want Kemar Roach time in the sport to end. However, like all sports, at the end of 30 upwards, it would surely be time to start considering when to hang up and call it a day. However, until then, they would surely keep on loving the fact that they have one of the hottest players in the world of cricket at the moment. That is enough for now.
