Crowe is the Black Caps legend and ex-captain was born on September 22nd, 1962, and died of cancer at the age of 53. From research, he suffered from a disease known as lymphoma which is a cancer of the immune system. It was also recorded that he had suffered from it before so it came the second and after fighting he was not able to survive it. At first, it occurred in 2012 where he was diagnosed with it, He thought it was all gone after the treatments but unfortunately in September 2014, it was confirmed that the sickness returned.

Martin Crowe was born in a town close to Auckland, Henderson & was recognized as one of his country's best cricket players. It was very sad news to his family when he passed away on a Thursday.

Martin Crowe's father, mother, and brother all belonged to cricket teams and participated in so many events. His dad played with a first-class team while his mum also performed very well during her time as well as his brother. In other words, Crowe was raised having cricket blood and a strong-willed spirit in commitment. He was also a television broadcaster and a writer.

In 1995, Crowe had knee problems which made him retire at the age of 33. Later on in 2011 at the age of 48, he was determined to go back to playing cricket. At resumption into cricketing, Crowe put in his best efforts also in character-wise. His influence was as well visible in his writing and other activities he was involved in during his short stay. Even as his health issues got worse and he was seeking for solutions, he didn't fail to turn up in the World cup session.

Crowe's parents were both top cricketers and so he was not left out. He participated in all turns of cricket as he was an all-rounder. He played repeatedly for Auckland, Somerset located in England as well as Wellington, scoring amazing points. In summary, he battled in 412 innings, the top-tier matches he participated in were 247 as a whole, he scored about 19,608 runs and his catches were 226. It was recorded that Crowe started playing cricket at the age of 14 thereafter he was appointed at various ranks till he finally retired due to his knee issues. After his retirement, he worked as a cricket on-air personality for Sky TV. In 2015 he was elected into the C.I.C Hall of fame thereby making him the 3rd Black Caps player to attain such honor.

Despite Crowe's illness, he was a great influence on New Zealand Cricket. He is indeed a cricket genius that will forever be remembered in the hearts of many. He was competent and also an extraordinary technician. He never saw his illness as a limit to his success so he fought endlessly. He was able to boost his team's score which helped in defeating Sri Lanka. Crowe had a good sense of humor which made him place his cricket team at the center of his heart.
