There is no denying the fact that is there is a list of countries that has a stake in cricket, it would surely be Australia. Hence, there is little surprise that they always make the cut when it comes to countries who have full membership in the world of cricket. This is in no small part down to the number of players who are dedicated to ensuring that Australia stays at the top or at least close to the top of the food chain every time. Among these players are captains and co-captains. These are very influential players who influence the players in more ways than one. Australia would be thrilled to know that they have some very interesting players. One of them would surely be Travis Head.

Travis was born on the 20th day of December 1993. This outs his age at about 26 years. It is therefore really impressive what he has managed to achieve at this point in life. For one thing, he is currently the vice-captain when it comes to the Test series. He also combines the need to play domestic cricket perfectly with the need to play for his country. He is also a lover of his country as he plays for South Australia and Adelaide which are currently all within Australia.

He got an early break in the game. By the age of 18, Travis was already on his way to stardom. By that age, he would start playing first-class cricket for his domestic club. By 2012, he would participate in his first international tournament for his country. This was when he played in the Under 19 World cup for Australia.

His career for South Australia would actually kick-off when he was called on to play after Botha left. Botha was the captain of the team and would hand over that title to Travis. Travis would become the youngest captain in the history of the country, taking the captain armband at the young age of 21. However, his captain role would turn out to be a blessing indeed. He would go on to become a star for his country in each of the formats in the game. He would score double centuries in matches which were considered to be A list in nature. In fact, he was only the third Australian to ever do that in the history of the game. Simply epic.

His form would eventually lead him to play in the T20 series for Australia and in June 2016, he was given the opportunity to play for Australia in the ODI games. The good thing is that throughout this period, he has not disappointed in any way but has proved that he is always the man for the big occasion.

He is only just 26 and we can be sure that he would have so many great opportunities in the future. For us, we are the greatest winners as we get to watch him for many more years.
