Though India lost a one-day series against England, India captain Virat Kohli retained the top spot in the ICC rankings for batsmen.ICC Rankings released yesterday. India captain Virat Kohli is the number one ranked player in the batting list with 911 points.

Kohli got 2 more points  for scoring 75, 45 and 71 in the series against England. England's Joe Root, who scored two centuries in the series, took second place.

India's Rohit Sharma is ranked 4th and Shikhar Dhawan is ranked 10th. Dhoni is in the 14 th place. India's Kuldeep Yadav took sixth place in the rankings for the bowlers. Kuldeep, who was ranked 14th, moved to 6th place after got 9 wickets in the India -England series. This is the first time for him to enter in the top 10 position. India's Jasprit Bumrah continues on the first.

England have already got a spot for the number one team in the rankings. At the same time, India decreased 1 point. However it continues to be in the 2nd place.
