Rishabh Pant, who has done a great job in England's Test series, has given a contract of Rs 5 crore to the A-category for one year. While Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Bumrah retained the place in the Bcci's annual contract in the A+ category. Players who have a place in the A+ category are paid about seven crore rupees annually.

According to a media report on BCCI's Central contract, there were five players in the A+ category, although Shikhar Dhawan and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar were dropped from them. However, the categories given in these players are not yet clarified.

In the meeting of the Committee of Administrators (COA) held in Delhi, the contracts for players from the period of 1st October 2018 to 30 September 2019 were approved. It has been reported in the report that Hardik Pandya and Lokesh Rahul have been kept in category B.The annual retainer fee in this category is Rs. 3 crore.
