Hello Friends,

Today I am going to share with you about a most valuable IPL team (KKR). With IPL 2019 just round the corner in two months, it is interesting to have a look at the squad of IPL teams. In this section, we take a look at the squad of Kolkata Knight Riders which finished at number 3 last year.

Before the mini-auction on December 18, the franchise released some players. This included overseas players like Mitchell Starc, Tom Curran, Cameron Delport and Javon Searles. Indian players released were Apoorv Wankhede, Vinay Kumar and Ishank Jaggi. There were 13 players in the squad.

After this KKR required some addition to the squad in the form of the experienced overseas fast bowler. Because they already had two quicks in the form of Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Shivam Mavi. KKR may also need Chris Lynn replacement provided he is selected for World Cup squad of Australia.

As they needed the services of overseas fast bowler they went on to purchase New Zealand quick Lockie Ferguson and South Africa domestic bowler Anrich Nortje. The addition of Carlos Brathwaite was surprising because they already had Andre Russell in their squad. They also added Joe Denly the English all-rounder in their squad.

They added another English player in the form of Harry Gurney who has a good reputation of bowling at the depth. Uncapped Indian players bought were Nikhil Naik who is a wicket-keeper, all-rounder Shrikant Mundhe and pacers Prithvi Raj Yarra.

In this squad is a blend of experienced and new exciting players from India as well as overseas. Rinku Singh has had an excellent domestic form and he will be vital. Kamlesh Nagrkoti who didn't play last year will be exciting to watch because he can bowl in excess of 145 kmph. In case Andre Russell gets injured owing to his history of injuries, Carlos Brathwaite is an able replacement. Anrich Nortje can bowl quick and has variations too.

KKR is the most valued franchise and as they are known for punching above their weight I won't be surprised even if they go on to lift the IPL trophy for the 3rd time.
