Indian premier league start from 2008 and going on. It will be 12 seasons from the starting. It is giving the opportunity to every batsman to score a run and select for the national team. If they able to score a runs in pressure then surely selectors select them. Indian premier league is famous all around the world as in this league every international player take part except Pakistan player. Soi will display orange cap holders from the last year to 2008.

3. Virat Kohli (2016)
He had scored the highest run in the Indian premier league with 973 runs. in this season he hit 38 Six and 83 boundaries to reach this milestone. Virat Kohli is always known as a run machine for team royal challengers Bangalore
4. David Warner (2015)
He was appointed as orange cap holder for two times in 2015 and 2017. In this season he scored 584 runs while playing for sunrises Hyderabad. It includes 21 sixes and 65 boundaries.
5. Robin Uthappa (2014)
In the season of 2014, Robin Uthappa playing for Kolkata knight riders was an orange cap holder for having 660 runs with 18 sixes and 74 boundaries. This season was good for Kolkata team as well as for Robin Uthappa.
6. Michael Hussey (2013)
It was the last season for Michael Hussey and with his destructive innings of 2013 season, he had 733 runs with the help of 17 sixes and 81 boundaries. He was playing for Chennai super kings as an opener.
7. Chris Gayle (2012)
Chris Gayle is known by King of the T20 tournament. in IPL 5 he played good knock with the help of 1 century he scored 733 runs. In the overall innings, it includes 59 sixes and 46 boundaries. He is the only batsman to hit more Six then boundaries.
8. Chris Gayle (2011)
In both year 2011 and 2012, he was the orange cap holder. In 2011 season he made 608 runs with the help of 44 sixes and 57 boundaries. In this season he had a strike rate of around 180. In both the season he was playing for royal challengers Bangalore.
9. Sachin Tendulkar (2010)
God of cricket Sachin Tendulkar playing for Mumbai Indian as his home team for him. In this season he was appointed as orange cap holder for his 618 runs which included 86 boundaries and just 3 sixes.
10.Matthew Hayden (2009)
While playing for Chennai super kings he hit 22 sixes and 60 boundaries in this season to reach a 572 runs landmark and to become an orange cap holder. He was playing with mongoose Bat which is small in the size in comparison with ordinary Bat.
11. Shaun Marsh (2008)
shaun marsh playing for king Xl Punjab in the first season of Indian premier league and had 616 runs in this season in just 11 innings. To reach this landmark he had scored one brilliant century. To reach for orange cap he had 26 Six and 59 boundaries in 2008 season.
