Cricket may have seen some exceptional spin bowlers but it has always been difficult for countries to dig in and find a quality leg-spinner. Leg spin bowling is the most difficult of the ways of bowling, it needs a high level of practice and commitment. The world has produced some good Leg spin bowlers but there has been no one like the spin sensation and the greatest of leg spin bowler Shane Warne.

Ever seen a ball spin from way down the leg stump to click off stump?

Shane Warne had this magic in his fingers and nobody till today has matched him or ever been close to being such an amazing bowler. Shane Warne has been an inspiration to so many young talents especially young leg spin bowlers, we have even witnessed how the young bowlers have tried to copy his bowling action with an objective to spin the ball over few feet but not many have succeeded.

With over 700 test wickets to his name, Shane Warne is also named among the Wisden's Cricketers of the Century. His bowling style, spin technique, and variations were so unique that he is put under the category of Cricketers of the Century and there is no doubt about it that he deserves to be there on the top.

After his retirement from Test Cricket in 2007, he continued to play the shorter form of the game. His inclusion in Indian Premier League squad as a captain for Rajasthan Royals clearly showed it to the world how the spin star was still considered as a player who could single-handedly change the course of the game at any moment. Shane Warne later helped his team to win the first ever season of Indian Premier League.

Former Australian Cricketer and Captain Shane Warne has taken over 1000 wickets in all formats of the game which is matched by Muttiah Muralidharan of Sri Lanka. Shane Warne was often found as a part of controversies and there have been some critical incidents where his behavior towards the game and people has depicted his attitude as a negative one. Over the time his mates and fellow cricketers have defined him as a wonderful person and an amazing professional to work with.

Our eyes lit up every time we see a spell of great spin bowling. Test Cricket has always been a treat to watch with some exceptional bowling spells from bowlers like Shane Warne. I will always want to see some more of these spells in future, it may not come from Shane Warne anymore but let's live with the hope that we find someone unique and skillful enough to match the level that has been set by Australian all-time great Shane Warne.
