In a recent event that took place in the Pakistan Cricket, there has been an uproar over the demotion of Pakistan's senior batsmen Mohammed Hafeez. Hafeez who has played over 50 test matches, 200 one-day Internationals and more than 80 T20 games for his country will be considering retirement as the only measure to protest his demotion in the player's categories by Pakistan Cricket Board.

Mohammad Hafeez is one of the better allrounders who started his career as an opener for Pakistan in 2003, he was later developed in a world-class bowler. He is also known as the professor of the Pakistan team as he was once a specialist T20 bowler. He even featured in the list of Top 10 bowlers of the world for a long time.

Hafeez has been questioned in the recent times for his bowling action and was even banned for his action for some time. His downfall started when he couldn't do much with the bat as he couldn't bowl as per the restrictions imposed on him due to incomplete bowling action. This probably has been the reason for his demotion at the top level, Babar Azam has been the one who has replaced him in the list of players named under Category A.

Hafeez has expressed his feelings about the demotion and considers it as an insult for representing the country for such a long time. Hafeez has clearly refused to sign the new contract, he has considered retirement from all forms of the game as the only way to protest against this discriminatory treatment.

At 37, A player only wishes to leave on a high note and that's all we can hope for him.
