It was the 32 match of the KFC BBL season 08 between Brisbane Heat and Sydney Sixers. Brisbane Heat won the toss and decided to field first. As the Sydney Sixers have their new openers as Daniel Hughes and Josh Phillipe. Both the batsmen came to crease and play had been begun. Mujeeb into the attck. Josh Phillipe started playing hard early and didn't stayed for such a long time. On the last ball of 2nd over he departed and scored 17 runs of 11 balls with 4 boundries. Josh lalor was the bowler. After that James Venice came to play along with Daniel Hughes. Hughes today didn't scored much for his team and he got bowled by Lalor. Hughes scored only 13 runs with 2 fours.

After that Sixers skipper came to crease. Skipper also didn't gave a boost to his team. He only scored 4 runs in 8 balls and gave a catch to Lalor on the 4th ball of 8th over by Doggett. After that Jordan Silk came to play. Venice and Silk played brilliantly to bring their team on a track. Both played a partnership of 96 runs.

James Venice played a stunning inning and scored 75 runs in just 46 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes. After that he gave his wicket in hands of skipper Chris Lynn. And this was the first wicket of Mujeeb in today's match which he took in the last ball of his spell. After falling wicket of Venice, Jordan Silk didn't stayed for long time and only scoring 2 runs, Lalor showed him a way to pavilion. This was the Lalor's 3rd wicket in this match. After that all rounder Tom Curran and Jack Edwards were at crease. They both didn't scored much. 8 runs by Curran and 7 runs by Edwards. Both wickets were taken by Lalor. It was the day of Lalor. Lalor finished his 4 over spell with 26 runs and 5 wickets. Heat restricted the Sixers at 176 runs.

Now the Heat had to chase 177 runs in 20 overs. Their openers McCullam and Bryant came to crease. Steeve O Keefe came into the attack. In the very first over of Heat's inning O Keefe strikes and picked up Bryant's wicket. O Keefe took a wicket in his first over and didn't gave any run. Now the Heat were 0/1. Heat's skipper Chris Lynn came to crease and started playing with McCullam. Skipper only scored 2 runs and gave his wicket in hands of Edwards of Abbot's over.

Now wicket keeper Peirson came to play along with McCullam. McCullam was playing good but on the other hand no other player was staying for a while. Peirson also didn't scored much for his team, he scored only 12 runs and departed. After him Ben Cutting and McCullam played a good for sometime then McCullam departed by scoring 27 runs in 31 balls. Alex Ross and Cutting played for little time then Alex Ross departed on 74 runs. He only scored 4 runs of 6 balls and picked up by Abbott. Cutting played for a while and scored 28 runs of 26 balls with 3 fours and a six, then got bowled out by Tom Curran at 83 runs.

After that Josh Lalor scored 13 runs and departed at 96 runs in 18th over. Then Brandon Dogget also departed on 97 runs in same over. After Dogget, Mitchel Sweapson scored 2 runs and fell down in 19th over on 98 runs. Then whole team departed on 98 runs.

Tom Curran gave 16 runs in his spell and took 3 wickets. Sean Abbott gave 18 runs in 3.1 overs with 3 wickets. Lyod Pope gave 19 runs and took 2 wickets in his spell. Steeve O Keefe took very important wicket and gave 17 runs in his spell with one maiden-wicket over.
