When Team India comes on the field on Sunday, a big world record will be registered on behalf of Indian team. The first ODI against Windies will be India's 950th ODI match and it will be the first team in the world to do so, no other country has played 950 ODIs so far in ODIs.

India will be the first country to achieve this big milestone. India started its one-day journey in 1974 and West Indies started playing ODIs a year early from 1973, while west Indies have so far played 780 ODIs

In the total 949 ODIs, India has won 489 matches and had to face defeat in 411 matches, 9 games were tied, and 40 ODIs had no result. While, India and West Indies have played 121 ODIs against each other, India have won 56 ODIs and lost 61, one match ended on tied and three games had no result.

After the test series, India and West Indies will face each other once again in the first match of the 5-match ODI series in Guwahati on 21st October, Sunday.
