The opener scored 89 runs off just 43 and RR successfully chased down 188 woth 4 wickets to spare.

RR had won the toss and opted to field first. Liam Livingstone replaced Ben Stokes and for MI Rohit Sharma was back in place of MI.

The pitch looked like an absolute belter to bat on. MI openers made full use of the conditions and scored 57 off first six overs. Both de Kock and Rohit Sharma were hitting the gaps perfectly and picking up boundaries.

However it was the 11th over that Royals got their first wicket in the form of Rohit Sharma, trying to smash a ball from Jofra Archer. Then MI didn't keep going as has been the problem through the middle overs as they lost S Yadav and Pollard in quick succession.

While de Kock kept batting at the other end and picking up boundaries. He too after being jaded got dismissed on 81. Hardik Pandya again provided the finishing touches as he scored 28 off just 11 and MI finished on 187.

RR for some reason weren't getting the start from their openers. However it wasn't to be today, luck also played it's part. As Rohit Sharma dropped Rahane in the first over and then the RR skipper made decision to reverse when he was given out LBW on-field. Rahane and Buttler were off to a flier with the former being the aggressor.

Rahane was looking good but in order to keep scoring quickly departed while trying to slog-sweep Krunal Pandya. Buttler then started to attack, sven the spinners Rahul Chahar and Krunal Pandya weren't spared. The highlight of the match was how Buttler smashed Joseph for 28 runs which absolutely shifted the game in their favour. Although Buttler departed on 89 as he tried to keep on going and failed to clear the ropes where he was caught by S Yadav.

The visitors required 39 off 42 balls and tge experienced Steve Smith and Sanju Samson rotated the strike and playing risk free shots. The equation read 18 required from last 20 balls and that's when Bumrah got Samson out lbw. This didn't end here as Tripathi, Smith, Livingstone all departed.

Shreyas Gopal who scored quick runs against CSK last time bailed out his team by scoring 13 off just 7. Although he was lucky on two occasions as he was dropped.

Jos Buttler was Man of the Match for his match winning knock.
