Imran Tahir took four crucial wickets while Raina hit an important half century. CSK were set a target of 162 runs.

Earlier in the match, CSK had won the toss and opted to field. KKR madd 3 changes as Narine, Lynn, Gurney were back in the playing eleven.

Lynn was back after recovery from flu and he showed that he recovered from it, after he started hitting those boundaries with ease. Narine at the other hand was kept quite and got dismissed by Santner. Nitish Rana scored 21 before being dismissed trying to slog Tahir. Uthappa fell off the first ball trying to heave across the line to an away going ball from Tahir. While Lynn continued to hit boundaries, not even the spinners were spared. Lynn hit Jadeja for 3 consecutive sixes.

Tahir again got the breakthrough, but this time he got two big wickets in the form of set Lynn who got out on 82 and Russell who went to hit another six. KKR never really got going then. They couldn't capitalize the platform set by Lynn. Dinesh Karthik and Shubman Gill too departed and KKR posted 161.

161 wasn't enough on this Eden Gardens pitch. CSK although lost Shane Watson when he was trapped in front by Harry Gurney. du Plessis seemed unperturbed by that dismissal, hitting four consecutive 4s off Russell. But going for another boundary saw the end of du Plessis as he was bowled by Narine. Kedar Jadhav and Suresh Raina batted perfectly for a while as former departed after scoring quick 20 off 12. Jadhav was trapped in front by Chawla.

Raina batted beautifully at the other end attacking the spinners. 53 were required off last six overs. Narine got rid off Dhoni when he was at 16 and got out lbw. Jadeja and Raina then completely took away the match in the 19th over as Jadeja struck 3 consecutive boundaries. Jadeja and Raina remained unbeaten at 31 and 58 respectively.

Imran Tahir was Man of the Match.
