Yesterday the game between The Kathmandu Kings XI and Biratnagar Warriors was the last match of the league stage. In this last match, Kathmandu Kings XU has defeated Biratnagar Warriors to secure their place in the Qualifier.

Winning the toss, Kathmandu Kings XI chose to field first. Batting first Biratnagar Warriors were able to make just 100 runs in 17.5 over in loss of all wickets. Sumit Mahajan scored 25 runs, Hari Bahadur Chauhan scored 22 runs, Captain Parash scored 21 runs, and Babr Hayat contributed 11 runs. No other players were able to score the double-digit runs. Kevin O’Brien picked up three crucial wickets Meanwhile Rohan Mustafa, Pradip, Bikram got two wickets each. Jitendra Mukhiya also got one wicket. Every bowler bowled brilliantly that helped Kathmandu to restricted Biratnagar in such low score.

Chasing the target of 101 runs, Kathmandu Kings lost their three wickets in just 24 runs at 3.4 overs. Their opening batsman Amit Shrestha was back to pavilion scoring just 14 runs, Sagar Pun also got out scoring ten runs, and Rohan Mustafa was golden Duck out. After that, the two new batsmen Raju Rijal and Naresh Budayer also got out scoring 1 and seven runs respectively. Kathmandu was at the stage of 48/5 but after that Kevin O’Brien and Pradip played a brilliant inning. Kevin Scored not out 45 runs, and Pradip scored 25 runs that helped Kathamdu to reach the target. Kevin and Pradip remained not out and helped Kathmandu to reach the qualifier.

Now after this loss Biratnagar Warriors are out of this Everest Premier League. Lalitpur Patriots and Kathmandu Kings XI will play the qualifier. Chitwan Rhinos and Bairahawa Gladiators will play the eliminator.
