There was a high expectation from Nepali Cricket team in Asia Cup Qualifier 2018. But the result was very much disappointing. Nepal lost three among five games in this tournament. This was really a disastrous tournament for Nepal. But this young superstar (i.e., Sandeep Lamichhane) showed a solid performance.
Sandeep Lamichhane was busy playing CPL before this tournament. He was off to Malaysia two days before this tournament started. He was showing impressive performance in CPL, and he continued that performance with national team too.

Insipte of bad performance from Nepal this player really stepped up. He is a young and talented player. In last few years he has got much success like Playing from IPL, CPL and many more. If he continues playing like this, then we may see him as the best leg spinner in the world. After taking a hat-trick in the U-19 world cup, he gained much popularity.
As a big fan of Nepali cricket, this was the worst tournament for us. I was excepting high from this team, but the result was the opposite. There are many reasons behind it( i will post about them soon). But I was happy to see Sandy performance in this tournament. He has played a big role in every match taking wickets for Nepal. He failed to take any wickets against Oman, but he took 14 wickets in other four matches. And ended up as the second highest wicket-taker in this tournament.
