Nepal’s Leg-Spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has shown high performance in his BBL debut. He has become the first player from Nepal to play in the Big Bash League. Sandeep picked up two wickets conceding 36 runs in four over.

Winning the toss Melbourne Star elected to field first, Batting first Sydney Thunders managed to make 181 runs at the end of 20 over losing just five wickets. Sandeep Lamichhane got his first over to bowl in BBL at 8th over, where he picked up two wickets. He picked up the wicket of Shane Watson and Ferguson in the second and last bowl of the over respectively. He conceded just three runs in the first over.

Then he came to bowl again in 12th over where he conceded six runs. But in third and fourth over he conceded runs without any wickets. For Sydney Thunders Sandeep Lamichhane and Adam Zampa picked up two wickets each and Dwayne Bravo got one wicket.

The second inning was affected by the rain, and Melbourne Stars got the target of 90 runs in 8 over. Chasing the target of 90 runs they manage to score 74 runs only. Sydney Thunders won the match by 15 runs according to the DLS method.
