It was game on at Edgbaston, England which witnessed one of the finest test matches ever played. The game has best represented like a pendulum which has been going to England and then to India zillion times in this first test match of five test series between India and England.

India is trying hard to come out of 2014 horror they had gone through in England. To be honest, it seems like only Virat Kohli is looking like a fighter. What a player he is, only thing he has to prove was to score runs in  England and boy didn't he play gem ogmf cricket. He is without any doubt the best cricketer on the planet. His aggression on the field is simply unmatchable. England might have won the test match but they can never beat Virat Kohli in the intensity and aggression.

Team India needs to show some mettle, Virat Kohli has scored 200 runs out of total 436 runs scored by Team India in the match which highly talks about the morale of team. Murali Vijay had a bad match, though he is a fantastic player. Big disappointment is Shikhar Dhawan, I think he himself should drop himself out of the next match, completely undeserving. Rahane looked rusty but his temperament is next best to Kohli. K L Rahul is just new to English things, he needs a little more time. In bowling department, Ishant Sharma has been a surprise package for India. His form will play a key role in pace department. Ashwin has again proved why he is most reliable spin bowler for InIndia, he has troubled the English batsmen big time. Umesh Yadav is still a big confusion for test cricket.

England team must be feeling a little lucky but they will be mighty pleased with their performance. Jimmy Anderson still looks haunting and Sam Curran has been the best thing. Deservingly the MOM performance by him. He scored valuable 63 runs which took England out of shell when they were tottering in their second innings for 87/7. An All-round performance and at what time, he has definetly knocked India out of this test match.

Jimmy Anderson yesterday said at press conference, that he will go to sleep with a dream of taking Kohli's wicket early morning. I think that dream came to Ben stokes. You can never keep him out of the game. He is the best performer under the pressure, gives his life on field. The best spell you will ever see to win the test match. England will be going more confident in the coming matches.

Stats:

Edgbaston has been the venue where no Asian side has won a test match for 17 consecutive matches.

This is among the narrowest test wins England have ever had by 31 runs. Narrowest was against Pakistan by 12 runs.

Virat Kohli has scored more than 50+ runs in both the innings.

England won the match and Kohli has definitely won the hearts.

My moment of match was when today early morning, Jimmy Anderson came to bowl and English fans were chanting

"Oh Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy" complete goosebumps.
