Hello everyone,

India wins one more series on Australian tour by defeating Australia in the last match of the ODI series. India clinched the victory on the ODI series by 2-1 and this also ends India's tour and the international matches that are left will be played in New Zealand. India won the toss and opted to bowl first, the match was delayed by few minutes because of the rain which slowed the outfield to a greater level. There were 3 changes in Indian squad whereas Adam Zampa was the new one in the Australian squad. Like the past 2 ODI matches, Australian openers failed to make a good start again and India sums them to a total of 230. Peter Handscomb scored one more fifty and was the only player from Australian side to score a half-century and 50+ runs. Yazuvendra Chahal took this opportunity hand-to-hand and got 6 wickets and titled as the player of the match!

The target of 230 runs is a little bit short by around 25-30 runs on this pitch as Indian players play spinners really well and the slow pitch is where many Indian players start to play. To defeat India, Australia has to perform really well but they failed in terms of fielding as they dropped a crucial catch of Kohli and they missed one more opportunity by not taking DRS against Dhoni. Indian players showed their patience which was much needed on such pitch and the crucial partnership between Kohli and Dohni/Dhoni and Kedhar helped India to win this match in the final over. Dhoni is the best fit for the #4 and Kohli is likely to continue the same batting line up against New Zealand. The pitch was damn slow as hitting the boundaries was not that easy after rain. Peter Siddle seems a bit off in this match which made the way for India easier.

Australia can have the reason -" bans on their best players" but again the team has 11 players and all of them must play their best to increase the chances of winning. The same question was raised when only Kohli was the player scoring while others failing. Again the team director and board must give this proper attention or Australia might fall like Sri Lanka when there experienced players retired. MS Dhoni titled as the player of the series after his consecutive fifties in the last three matches. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the leading wicket-taker in this ODI series.

Fifties Scored - 3 (Peter Handscomb, Dhoni, K Jadhav )

Five wicket haul - 1 (Y Chahal)
