Sir Vivian Richards , not an unfamiliar name. I believe this name is familiar to every one who knows anything about cricket. This is the man who was known as the "swagger" he was the most destructive batsman of his era.

He was the most destructive batsman of all time, besides all the fast bowlers of that time he never wore a helmet. He was a fearless batsman hitting the bowlers across the fields. He scored over 8000+ runs with an average of over 50 with 24 centuries and 45 fifties in Test matches. He also scored nearly 7,000 runs in One Day Internationals and more than 36,000 in first-class cricket.

Vivian Richards represented West Indies from 1974 to 1991.In ODIs, Richards had a strike rate of 90+ when he retired, a feat which wasn’t too easy in those days. He was part of the World Cup winning West Indies sides of 1975 and 79, and even scored a century in the latter edition's final to help his side to the title.

Viv Richards told me, ‘Get your a** up, you are not being paid to sleep’, reveals Brian Lara on early days

Brain Lara said this once.

Richards had also scored those runs with the strike rate of 90 which was not easy to do in those times. I believe if he would have been playing in T20 cricket, he would have been a master like he really is. He also played county cricket for Somerset in England. He was also a part of the team when West Indies won the world cup in 1975 and 1979.
