Watching any sport is always brings full of happiness. During this lockdown season, we badly missed sporting events. I started to watching cricket in 2004 & since then I almost watch every International match of my country Sri Lanka. But in very few occasions, I unable to watch few matches due to some reasons. In this article I selected two most important games that I missed to watch.

In 2006, After SL whitewashed England team as 5-0 in England, they suddenly went to Netherlands to play 2 ODIs. Since Netherlands was just an associated team, no broadcaster telecasted the matches on tv. So, I couldn't watch those 2 ODIs. In the 1st ODI between SL vs Netherlands was a historical one. in that game Sri Lanka created a new world record of highest team total in ODIs, which broken the 10-year record of Sri Lanka itself. SL scored 443/9 in their 50 overs, thanks to Daddy Hundreds from Sanath Jayasuriya and TM Dilshan. It is still the highest team score for Sri Lanka in ODIs. But World record for Highest Team Total in ODIs was broken after it in few occasions, but the current record belongs to England, as they scored 481/6 vs Australia in 2017.

Another most important game was in 2011 boxing day. It was a test match between Sri Lanka and South Africa. Unfortunately, it was a problem in my television, because the channel that telecast the match was not worked for TV. All I had to do was listening the match via radio. 2nd Test match in that series was a historical match on Sri Lanka's point of view. They beat South Africa by 208 runs & It was their first test win in South Africa. The five wicket hauls from Chanaka Welagedara & Rangana Herath, Centuries from Kumar Sangakkara and Thilan Samaraweera guided SL team to that glory moment.

It was a great milestone for cricket team to win a test match in 'SENA' countries.

SENA is a term that indicate South Africa, England, New Zealand, Australia. Cricket pitches in those countries are mostly seam friendly, as a result, winning a test match in SENA is a huge reputation for sub-continent teams.

So those are the two most important Cricket Matches that I missed to watch, but I followed them from Radio.
