In the two matches played in the day, HongKong and Malaysia won their respective matches.
In the first match, Thailand batted first and gave the target of 100 runs. Chasing the target, HongKong reached the target in 20 overs losing their 5 wickets. Nasrulla Rana scored 46 for HongKong. The bowlers of HongKong, Raunak Kapoor took 5 wickets and Bikash Sharma took 4 wickets for HongKong. This is the second defeat of Thailand in the tournament and they are almost out of the tournament.
In the second match played between the host country Malaysia and Bhutan, Malaysia batted first and scored 288 runs. Chasing the target, Bhutan could only score 28 runs with the loss of their all wickets. Gakul Ghale and Cheje scored 9 runs each for Bhutan. In the Bhutanese batting lineup, 7 batsman could not score even a single runs with the bat. Tha malaysian batsman Aslam Khan Malik scored 66 runs, Mohammad Amir scored 52 runs and amirul scored 48 runs. Sachin took 4 wickets in the match.
The next matches of the tournament will be played today. In Group A, Nepal will face Singapore while in Group B, HongKong will play against Bhutan in their respective matches.
