Nepal has lost its first match of the tournament with Qatar by 4 wickets today. Qatar had lost their first match Vs. Singapore yesterday by 33 runs. This was their first win in 2nd match. Nepal will play their second match tomorrow.
Nepal won the toss and made 122 runs by losing all the wickets in the last ball of their innings. The target was too less that Qatar chased it in 19.2 over. Chasing the target, opener Faisal Javed was out in 1 run. Khan played aggressive shots from the other end. At the stage of the match Qatar went from 68/3 to 99/6. This pair batted sensibly till the rest of the innings and they made their team towards the victory. Sandeep Lamichanne took 3 wickets in 4 over by giving 33 runs to the opposition while Karan took a wicket in 4 overs by giving 18 runs.
Nepal had their opening partnership of 49 runs. With this start Nepal ended their innings in 122 runs. It's a poor cricket by Nepal.
Now, Nepal has to win the remaining 3 matches with other teams by a good margin to improve the run rate else Nepal will fail to qualify for the T-20 world cup qualification. Nepal will play their second match against Malaysia tomorrow.
