HongKong defeated Malaysia by 3 runs to be the winner of Group B in the ACC U-19 tournament. Both the teams have entered in the semi finals of the tournament. The match was played in the Kinrara Oval Ground.
HongKong won the toss and batted first to score 172 runs in the board. Chasing the reply, Mlaysia could only score 169 runs in 49.3 overs. At a moment, Malaysia were 6 down in just 44 runs. Mohammad Arif Usuf and Vijay made a partnership of 87 runs for the 8th wicket to lead the team forward but it was in the end not sufficient for the victory.
Vijay was out in 39th over by making 39 runs. Usuf still made a partnership of 32 runs with the new batsman Sachinu. In the end HongKong win the match my 3 runs. Raunak and Bikash took 3 wickets each and Rana took 2 wickets for HongKong.
In the first innings, Adit scored 50 runs and Challu scored 43 runs for HongKong. Amir and achinu took 3 wickets each for Malaysia. In the other match played in the day, Thailand defeated Bhutan by 7 wickets.
In the semi finals, Nepal will play againsy Malaysia while HongKong will face against Singapore.
