Malaysia were short by 6 runs in the second T20 international match played with Nepal. With this win, Nepal won the T-20 series by 2-0 and this is first ever clean sweep Nepal has won against any country in the 20-20 format, among the matches which are recognized by ICC as the T-20 international match. Nepal had won the first match by 7 wickets. Before this series, Nepal had defeated UAE 2-1 in their home ground but they had failed to clean sweep that series. This is the second series Nepal has played till now and Nepal won 2 out of 2 international 20-20 series.

Nepal won the toss today in the Kinrara Oval Ground. They elected to bat and scored 173 runs in 20 overs. Chasing the target, Malaysia made 167 runs with the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Malaysia chased the target aggresively. They made a first wicket partnership of 75 runs with the help of Virandip singh and Saed Ijaj. It took 10 overs for Nepal to get their first wicket. Virandeep had scored half century in the first match. Today he scored 23 runs in 23 balls with the help of 2 fours and 1 six. Once Malaysia start losing wicket, they keep losing wickets in a frequent manner as they played aggresively throughout the innings.

Malaysia needed 14 runs in 6 balls in last over. The first ball was leg bye for 1 runs, second ball was hit for 2 runs. The next three balls was a dot which saved Nepal. In the last ball though the batsman hit for a four but Nepal won the match by 6 runs. Sompal and Sandeep took 2 wickets each while Karan, Avinash and Paras took a wicket for Nepal.
