Nepal Cricket Team has moved up in the 11th spot in the ICC rankings for T20 Cricket. This is the highest position that Nepal has gained till now. Nepal was in the 14th spot before this ranking was released. ICC released T20 rankings for 80 countries and it was in the favor of Nepal. Nepal moved up to three places in the rankings. While in the ODI rankings, Nepal is in the 14th spot.
In this ranking, test country Zimbabwe is in 13th spot while test country Ireland is in 15th spot. Nepal has 212 points with 8 matches. Zimbabwe has 199 points and Ireland has 182 points.
Last year, ICC provided T20 international status to all its member countries. From that period, a total of 104 matches have been played. ICC has included those countries in the rankings who have at least played 6 matches from May 2016.
