In the 8th National games of Nepal, Nepal Police Club (NPC) and Armed Police Force (APF) will play against each other in the final of men's cricket. In the semi-finals played yesterday in Kohalpur, NPC defeated Tribhuwan Army Club (TAC) and APF defeated Region 1 to reserve their spots in the final. The final as well as the third spot match will be played today.

APF defeated Region 1 by 8 wickets in the first semifinal of the tournament. Region 1 won the toss and elected to bat. They lost all their wickets in 16.3 overs with just 49 runs in the board. Minas Thapa and Sunny Pun scored 14 runs each for Region 1. No other batsman could score the double figures from their bat. Sharad Vesvakar took 4 wickets and Basanta Regmi took 3 wickets for APF. Abhinash Bohara and Bhuwan Karki took 1 wicket each in the match. APF chased the target in 10.5 overs. They won the match losing 2 wickets. Shankar Rana scored 23 runs and Pradeep Airi scored 17 runs. Both were not out in their innings. Dipesh Kandel and Puspa Thapa took 1 wicket each for Region 1.

In the other semi, NPC defeated TAC by 3 runs. NPC won the toss and elected to bat first. NPC scored 80 runs in 20 overs losing 9 wickets at the run rate of 4 per over. Amit Shrestha scored 23 runs and Dilip Nath scored 11 runs for NPC while the rest batsman could not score in double figures. Shahab Alam took 3 wickets, Sompal Kami and Sushan Bhari took 2 wicket each while Hari Chauhan took a wicket as well. With just 81 runs in the board to chase, TAC looked confident. TAC were 77 runs in 16 overs with 5 wickets in hand. In the second ball of 17th over, Rajesh Pulami Magar was made out for leg before wicket by Lalit Rajbansi. TAC were 77/6 in 16.2 overs. Rohit Paudel also got our in the same over. In the 18th over, Binod Bhandari was caught before he could even open the scoreboard by the bowler Sagar Dhakal. Sushan Bhari and Shahab Alam was also out in the same over. Sagar Dhakal took 4 wickets, Lalit Rajbansi took 3 wickets and Navin Singh Thapa took 3 wickets for NPC. Kushal Malla scored 23 runs, Raju Rijal scored 14, Hare Krishna Jha scored 11 and Rajesh Pulami scored 10 runs for TAC. Sagar Dhakal was the man of the match. He is also a member of U-19 National Team of Nepal.
