The 6th Match of the Lanka Premier League 2021 was played yesterday between Colombo Stars vs Dambulla Giants at R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, In which Dambulla Giants defeated Colombo Stars by 18 runs.
Dambulla Giants batted first after winning the toss, start the inning very brilliantly, Philip Salt and Niroshan Dickwella came to start the inning and gave a brilliant start with half-century partnership of 57 runs for the 1st wicket, the first wicket has gone for 57 runs in third ball of the 4th over, Niroshan Dickwella dismissed after playing a quick innng of 17 runs with the help of 4 boundaries inn just 6 balls, next batsman Dilshan Munaweera came to bat, and he dismissed just for 3 runs in 3 balls as second wicket in second ball of the 5th over, the team score was 65 runs, next batsman Sohaib Maqsood came to bat, and he also dismissed just for 1 run as third wicket in second ball of the 6th over, followed by Najibullah Zadran came to bat, and handled the inning with Philip Salt, the fourth wicket has gone for 100 runs in second ball of the 11th over, Philip Salt dismissed after playing a brilliant quick half-century inning of 62 runs with the help of 2 sixes and 8 boundaries in just 34 balls, next batsman Dasun Shanaka came to bat, handled the inning and played a brilliant half-century partnership of 77 runs with Najibullah Zadran for the fifth wicket, the fifth wicket has gone for 177 runs in first ball of the 19th over, Dasun Shanaka dismissed after playing a brilliant inning of 38 runs with the help of 2 sixesa and 3 boundaries in just 25 balls, next batsman Chamika Karunaratne came to bat, after few moments Najibullah Zadran also dismissed after playing a brilliant half-century inning of 54 runs with the help of 2 sixes and 6 boundaries in just 40 balls as sixth wicket in 18.4 over, the team score was 182 runs, followed by Ramesh Mendis came to bat, and he remains unbeaten without scoring with Chamika Karunaratne, and Chamika Karunaratne also remains unbeaten after scoring 12 runs in 8 balls.
