Tottenham lost North London Derby again after yet another situation which shouldn't happen. It was corner awarded to them after Trossard played last with the ball and not Porro, but we'll cover them more later in this article. Final result was 2:1 and we could see clearly as day who is who in this match.
Against never worse Arsenal Spurs came out with this eleven: Kinsky, Porro, Dragusin, Gray, Spence, Sarr, Bissouma, Bergvall, Kulusevski, Solanke, Son. Johnson and Maddison came in in second half.
Match started with big Arsenal press, Spurs were unable to come to other half with ball in I think entire 15 minutes. It was attack after attack, but without too many clear chances for home side. Then once Spurs came on other half it was immediately 100% chance, but Dejan Kulusevski managed not to score from it. Soon after Tottenham took the lead like many times in the past. Corner, ball came to Son, Korean made shot on target which would be easily saved, but ball deflected from defender just like Spurs fans like, enough to make it impossible for Raya to save it. Son then made shhh gesture in style I am so big superstar, I am so quality, shhh you mouses etc... lol Problem is only fact that goal was consequence of luck and that he didn't do anything before or after that. It looked like Tottenham managed to be even in the game, but continue to give away corners one after another and corner is like penalty or half goal for Arsenal. It was clear Spurs players fell near the end of first half, that they are converting into well known spursy mode against Arsenal and I thought let's look how they will concede two goals before half time now. I didn't have to wait long. Porro and Trossard did battle for ball which deflected from Belgian player into goal kick, but Simon Hooper gave non existent corner to home side and they scored after it! Dragusin lost Gabriel behind back post, he shot on target, ball hit Solanke and ended inside net for 1:1! Minute or two after Bissouma had his Johan Cruyff moment. He was dispossessed like junior, someone robbed him off the ball which went toward Trossard and Belgian made very good shot into far corner of goal despite fact two Spurs players were in front of him. Shot came in from around 16m from peak of the box. Ball bounced in front of Kinsky who touched it with fingers, but was unable to prevent goal. It was 2:1 and game over for Tottenham. Tell me which current Tottenham attacking player can score goal like that ? I think none of them.
Arsenal players were satisfied with lead and retreated a little waiting for counter attacks and Tottenham became equal on the pitch, but they couldn't make any chance to score a goal. Nothing much happen in second half a part from two posts one on each side.
Let's talk about real heroes of last night Porro and Trossard. What I saw in first half was great breakdancing of Real Madrid target Pedro Porro. He was alone against Trossard on his side one on one. Trossard was turned toward him with his back and made move like he will go left then kicked ball in other side fast and run there causing Pedro to start dancing which ended in injury and Spurs medical team running onto the pitch to give him help of 5 minutes. It was not just sending home into Madrid over Lisbon it was more than that. That shows true face of Pedro Porro like defender! Pedro showed he's playing without any effort, that he is overbearing without any cover in reality. In second half he made ill pass into goal kick instead toward I think Bergvall. It was on distance like 5-10 m. In third situation he was inside the box on wing position, but instead of trying to send it inside he tried to score goal from impossible situation and his shot ended on post. Ball didn't have any chance to end inside the net. He then held his head wondering how me mix of Ronaldo, Messi and Bale didn't score form this ? It was laughable. He was laughable. All this happen after he set up world record in lost balls in previous match when he has lost it 46 times ?! He's ball losing machine which can't defend and which is of little use in attack! Pedro OUT! What they used to say in old western movies "Let's hang Pedro!" Real Madrid wants him... lol Yeah, surely right!
Other topic are stupid midfielders. I explained Bissouma's ball robbery which lead toward match losing goal, but Sarr is not more clever too! The way how he got yellow card in first half pretending he didn't hear whistle which stopped the game before he kicked ball away from place of foul was just stupid. That gives me falshback of those two against Chelsea when they both made sick stupid penalties. I wonder are they doing that on purpose in bigger games ?
Last topics are attackers. Not a single one of them is player for fighting for top 6! Son was that before, but right now he is more like Timo Werner than old Son. Fact that he scored lucky goal didn't change this. He didn't do anything other in entire game! Kulusevski missed incredible chance and was inside the pocket of some 18 years old boy who playered for Arsenal. He showed he's not a solution, he's not player for team which wants to compete for European spot! Solanke is average player and nothing more, there are much better players than he is out there! Johnson is completely useless unless he's in front of empty net to do tap in. He can't play football. They can't play serious football! Not a single one of them could play for Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man. City, Newcastle or Aston Villa! I'll add 1/3 of player in that list pikado superstar James Maddison! He's done nothing once he came in on the pitch!
Contrary to them Bergvall was in my oppinion ok, Gray and Spence were good, while young goalkeeper wasn't at his best. He failed to send accurate long balls, almost got robbed for one ball, could do better on goal, but made one nice dribbling against opponent in second half. He was ok on corners too.
Ange Postecoglou managed to get 5 out of possible 27 points in last league games which is suffering record. He's not the best manager, but I wouldn't sack him until end of the season. He's still in all cups and I don't believe he can get relegated. Worth mentioning is that he had only 1 central back on disposal for NLD - Dragusin. He's been forced to play Gray on other CB positon and kid is doing ok.
Next game is "clash of the titans" against Everton on Goodison Park. This is going to be real fight and losing that game can push us in real battle for survival. Good thing is in this round all teams from the bottom lost the game so non of them closed the gap toward us. Fact we're sinking on the table like TItanic ship doesn't bother me much because there is no big difference if you are 10th 11th or 15th. Cups are what matters this season.
