PSG.LGD has been on the rise since about the mid point of group stage and tonight cemented themselves as tournament favorites after taking down Team Liquid in the upper bracket semi-final at The International 8. PSG.LGD look dominant against last years champion Team Liquid and right now have won their last 12 games. Teams often get hot during a long tournament and that can result in a deep run and possible victory.
Liquid was heavily favored going into todays match and are widely considered the best team in the world. That didn't matter much to PSG.LGD as they dominated both games today, taking both matches in just over 30 minutes. Game one saw PSG.LGD outdraft Liquid leading to them controlling and winning game 1 handily. Fy and Somnus absolutely dominated the second game, completely taking Team Liquid's carry Miracle out of the game. Dominant.
Looking ahead PSG.LGD is guaranteed at least third place in the tournament now and are waiting to learn who they will face in the upperbracket final as EG and OG are battling it out for the right to face PSG.LGD right now. No matter which team comes out on top from that match, they will be hard pressed to hamper PSG.LGD's run to the grand final.
Somnus, Fy, Ame, Chalice and Xnova have really come together for PSG.LGD and look set to bring the Aegis back to China this weekend.
