As if the release of the new Nintendo Switch series called Pokemon: Let's Go! doesn't have you excited enough, it looks like Game Freak is already rounding up the troops to work on their next Pokemon project.

Pokemon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara announced earlier this year that the company would begin working on another mainline Pokemon game that would "be a completely different game [to Pokemon Let's Go!].

Here is more of Ishihara he had to say during an interview with Famitsu about the up-and-coming RPG game that is set to release sometime in the second half of 2019:

"It is not an entry game, but a game that we want longtime fans of the Pokemon series to look forward to.
"The game will give a good understanding of what an evolved Pokemon game looks like after it has continued to succeed the traditions of Game Freak.

The game is expected to be the next mainline game that is in line with Pokemon Sun and Moon. This means that the game mechanics will be more like what we are used to instead of the Pokemon Go-like and simplistic mechanics we will experience in the Pokemon: Let's Go! series.

According to PixelPar on Twitter, a Famitsu feature on the new Pokemon Switch games proclaim that the 2019 RPG game will also include encounters with new Pokemon we have not seen before and improved graphics.

It sounds like based on the comments made by Ishihara about Pokemon: Let's Go! and the upcoming 2019 Pokemon game is that Pokemon: Let's Go! is set to reel in new Pokemon goers. The hope is that when the 2019 Pokemon game comes out for the Nintendo Switch, it will take-off as new Pokemon players become familiar with the basic mechanics in the Let's Go! series and hope to play something a little more progressive.

"We want to make Pokemon fans say 'this is what I've been waiting for' by delivering a brand-new product packed with gameplay elements and plenty of new Pokemon to encounter," said Ishihara.
