A guide to show you how to get the Mewtwo mega stones
KANTO - One of the most prized possessions in Pokémon: Let's Go is mega stones, which allow certain Pokémon to evolve past their final evolutions during battle. To get most of these mega stones, there is a certain character that sells them for a certain price (which I will explain in a later post).
However, two mega stones that this character does not sell are Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y, which are mega stones that evolve the legendary Pokémon Mewtwo. To get the Mewtwo mega stones, you have to find the final character that you may have not seen yet in the game and has been seen many times throughout the game franchise in past years.
This is a step-by-step guide to show you who you need to meet and how they will give you the coveted mega stones.
If you've played through the Pokémon: Let's Go storyline, then you've already met Red (which is the trainer that picks a starter Pokémon with you in the beginning) and Blue (Gary Oak). But there is still one historic character that you still have yet to meet. Her name is Green.
- Green will not be seen until you defeat Mewtwo and attempt to catch it in the Cerulean Cave. Once you have done this, leave the cave, reenter it, and then head back to the previous location of Mewtwo (If you don't know where Mewtwo is located, you'll just have to look it up. Sorry!).
- Once you are there, Green will be looking at the back side of the landing, talk to her.
- She will ask you to battle, so make sure you are prepared for this. She has six Pokémon and will also have a Mega stone(s) on hand. She used one on her Blastoise when I battled her. She may have more on hand depending on how the battle goes.
- Once (if) you defeat her, she will concede and hand you Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y as a victory present.
