Despite not having an official license form the MLB SMB2 still shines bright. It's a great combination of simulation and arcade. Nice graphics and animations makes the game feel alive. Don't let the cartoon style appearance fool you, this is games is an out of the park home run. Experience gaming without bias.

I can honestly say Super Mega Baseball 2 is the best baseball game I've played since owning an next gen console. No needlessly pricey licensing, no new editions every year, mixed gender teams, endless customization, in-depth season mode, it even features cross-play an online mode between PlayStation 4 and Xbox versions . The skill floor is really low, and the ceiling quite high. Playing with friends of mixed ability is so easily balanced. And the DLC is just more cosmetics if you want to support the developer. Kudos to the developers for not trying to sell me a new edition every single year simply for a roster update.

Team and player customization is fantastic

Pros:

  • The skill floor is super low, and ceiling high. You can begin with simple one-button controls and add layers as you become a more experienced player.
  • The overall experience is tons of fun.
  • The level of customization is so high you can create you favorite MLB team if you desire.
  • Mixed gender teams add a new twist.
  • It is very easy to adjust each participates difficulty, so playing with friends who aren't avid gamers works well.

Cons:

  • After 12 hours of play, I have nothing negative to say

Rating: 9/10 game in my opinion only because there's always room for improvement. Fun for both causal gamers as an-arcade style baseball game and experienced gamers as a simulation.

Super Mega Baseball 2 is available on Xbox One, Playstation 4, and Steam for PC at the reasonable price of $30.00. Game-play Trailer Below.
