Finally here we are! We are in the final phase of the FIFA eSport World Cup 2018. This tournament that is played every year (last year the name was FIWC) is disputing in the O2 of London with a total prize money of 400,000 USD distributed as follows:
Winners: 200,000 USD
Runner-up: 50,000 USD
Semi-finalists: 20,000 USD
Quarter-finalists: 10,000 USD
These final stages of the tournament played on FIFA 2018 will last three days and are currently under way. They started yesterday and will end tomorrow with live matches on Youtube and Twitch of the semifinals and final.
About 2 million players have tried to qualify. The first two qualifying stages were online and led to 32 players landed in London on 2 August.
We are now at the sixteenth phase. You can follow the live live of this Day2 on Youtube and Twitch, where there are about 50,000 spectators connected at the moment.
As you can see in the quarter final there is Gorilla, the winner of the last edition which is definitely one of the favorites for this tournament. He won the last match with Dani, a really skilled player. Also noteworthy are the performances of Megabit and Nicolas99, which seem to be unstoppable, also certainly in the list of favorites for the final victory.
