Asian sports will soon begin.

Jakarta and Palembang are the venue for the 2018 Asian Games which will begin in the coming August.

Although the 2018 Asian Games will only be officially opened on August 18, 2018, there are several sports that were held earlier.

Among them are swimming (water polo) starting on August 16, 2018, then 5 x 5 basketball competition at GBK Basketball Hall starting on August 14, 2018.

Furthermore, football (men) began competing at the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Bandung, the Pakan Sari Bogor Stadium, the Chandrabhaga Bekasi Patriot Stadium and the Wibawa Mukti Cikarang Stadium on August 14, 2018 while for football (women) began to be competed at the Jakabaring Stadium and Bumi Stadium Sriwijaya Palembang on August 16, 2018.

And the earliest competition was the handball sport starting on August 13, 2018 at the POPKI Sports Stadium in Cibubur - East Jakarta.

The OCA (Olympic Council of Asia) ensures that Indonesia as the host (Jakarta-Palembang) will compete with 40 sports, consisting of 28 Olympic sports, 4 new sports at the Olympics and 8 non-Olympic sports.

In addition, of the 40 sports that will be contested, will consist of 67 match disciplines, 463 match numbers and 2 exhibition sports.
