The best FC games are those that can really make their worlds come alive by their creatives idiosyncrasies. I never felt that was the case here. Unlike the the wonderful chaos of 3, the detailed world of 5, or even the exotic feeling of the 1st one, Farcry4 never truly made me feel immersed into its world. As vivid as Pagan Min was as a villain I thought he was woefully underutilized & though I've never been to India or Nepal I can't help but feel that the open world design of Kyrat doesn't do those places justice as the game map felt somewhat generic.

There is certainly fun to be had in this game as the enemy outpost system is ripe for good firefights & I howled at tearing shit up on the back of an elephant but I don't believe this installment has any traits that weren't better done by the other Farcry games.
