Mass Effect is one of, if not my single favourite franchise. I played Andromeda at launch and was definitely lucky as I only encountered one game breaking bug (could not complete a side mission as crashed the entire time) but I thoroughly enjoyed the game and was disappointed to hear planned DLC/sequels were cancelled. When I first got my Series X in November, it was one of the first games I played and I still enjoyed it then.

I played the original trilogy via the recent remaster (all classics) and loved every second of each of them. I always found Mass Effect 3 to be my least favourite but enjoyed the hell out of it this time around (probably cos it aged the best) though the trilogy did dampen my enjoyment of Andromeda for me. I'm now on my third Andromeda playthrough and because the originals are so fresh in my mind, I'm nit-picking a lot of minor but none the less obvious faults.

Overall Andromeda is good but that's the issue, it's just good.
