The Consumer Electronics Show is underway and there are many exciting announcements flooding out of the venue! From smart toilets to weird gadgets, they have it all, and it's all advanced!

However, I'm tuned in for the eSports and Gaming tech news and there is plenty of it! In fact, there is so much that I think I will have to break it up into categories!

Today's post will be all about the gaming monitors coming out this year! Some of them are absolutely unreal.

While everyone has been focusing on sleek designs and light elements, HP came out swinging around a massive screen that made people just... stare. Also, probably made people start shuffling around some financials in order to afford it.

With the whopping price tag of $5,000 USD, the 65" Omen X Emperium has an astounding 144Hz refresh rate at 4k. It has Nvidia Shield natively installed so you can rest assured that you will even have the benefits of most smart TVs. Some models will even have a built-in sound system! Oh, and G-sync!

By the way, if you were thinking about wall mounting this massive 65" of gaming glory, you can forget it. It weighs 140lbs! If it makes the price tag any easier to swallow, that's only $35USD per pound of 4K goodness!

Razer's first monitor

The gaming peripherals king has finally made their first entry into the world of monitors and it looks like a solid start!

The Razer Raptor comes in at pretty decent stats with a display of 2560 X 1440 at 27" with a refresh rate at 144Hz! It supports FreeSync and you can mirror your Razer phone with it if you have one through the USB-C!

As for features, that is really it, save for the one thing that usually makes Razer products stand out from the crowd: shiny lights!

The monitor has the signature Chroma lights on the front of the stand! The RGB lighting has become their staple and really does look sleek on the interesting stand they have designed for it.

Like most Razer products, it won't come cheap. It will be available soon in North America for about $700 USD! But fans that want all their peripherals to match may be more than happy to pay the price for the aesthetic and the resolution!

And now to the biggest monitor yet:

Samsung THE WALL

Technically, it's a television, but any television these days are absolutely capable of being used as a huge monitor and the latest embodiment of the Samsung wall is no different!

Originally the awe-inspiring modular television system was shown in 2018 as only for industrial and business use and was not made for the regular consumer. 2019 has changed that when they "shrunk" down their monitors to a whopping 75" and 30mm thickness! It is still modular and can be used in conjunction with many different shapes and sizes so you can create your own wall! If your pockets are deep enough.

Although it is only 4K while most have already moved on to 8K, the huge monitor features a MicroLEDs that promise truer blacks and colours than most OLEDs or LED tvs on the market!

Right now there are no release dates or prices available for the consumer version, but rest assured that it will be a little pricey. If SCR pumps hard, I might need to make the gamer's dream wall!!

Are there any monitors that you've seen that you might be purchasing this year? I know I didn't cover them all! Let me know in the comments below!
