BlizzCon just kicked off and the first round of announcements are coming out in a steady flow!

However, it seems that a lot of players are a bit disappointed with some of the news so far. With the appointment of a new head, there was a lot of talk in the official quotes about them working on more games than they ever have. So naturally, many players expected to hear about all kinds of new releases at this year's Blizzcon. To the point that Blizzard fans were even told to temper their expectations!

Well, there are some, but not to the degree most would like. However, a lot of the news is promising!

Diablo Immortal

While a lot of players were hoping for Diablo IV or at least a slew of new characters and classes, the announcement for Diablo Immortal was what is on the agenda.

The mobile game is meant to pick up where Diablo II left off and is promised to be a high action RPG experience. As an MMORG there is slated to be a slew of new characters, the usual classes, but includes the ability to come and go from groups to experience events.

It will be available for both Android and Apple when it drops, which is an uncertain date. But you can sign up for the beta!

Here is the trailer:

Destiny 2 is Free

For the limited time of two weeks Destiny 2 is available to all Battle.net account holders for free! All you have to do is sign into or create a Battle.net account and claim the offer under your gifts folder!

This is a promotion for the newest expansion (which you will not get). They have decided to give you the base game completely free so you will get hooked and decide to invest in the rest of the game!

However, since the base game is still exceptionally large, you can have tons of fun without buying the full game with all the features.

But you very well might when you see what is slated for the newest additions.

But hurry, this freebie ends November 18th!

Zeratul, the new Commander

Zeratul is a very well known name in the world of Starcraft so many people are insanely excited about this announcement!

The new Co-Op Commander brings a slew of overpowered abilities to Starcraft II. I feel bad for anything that stands in the way when you decide to play with this commander and the army at his disposal! Honestly, the list is too massive to even write out so I'll include a link to the preview page that is chockablock full of stats!

Overwatch's new Character and Mental Health Focus

Overwatch is getting a new character and it was introduced via a storyline to a short that is already a fan favorite!

McCree, the loved gunslinger, faces off against some outlaws and at the head of the pack is the newest character, Ashe.

She's a gorgeous gunslinger with a robotic companion, B.O.B. that charges enemies and offers backup via suppressive fire. Her signature weapons are powerful and impressive with a semi-automatic and hand thrown dynamite!

She looks like she will be an awesome addition to the cast, especially opposite McCree.

Here is the short!

But the biggest news from Overwatch doesn't have to do with their games in the traditional sense. The Overwatch League has announced that the new season will be cut dramatically as to the number of matches, and for very good reason.

OWL competitors have been facing extreme mental and physical burnout while trying to compete in the very intense season schedule. This burnout is being acknowledged in a huge way, and finally putting a big step forward when it comes to player's health.

The 2019 season will go from an insane 40 matches down to 28 in order to keep their players healthy and ready to compete to their best. This unheard of drastic reduction will ensure that tournament competitors can possibly go weeks without having to compete or even train. Professional players rarely have time for a personal life or downtime, and that is about to change.

I bet the competition will be tougher than ever with everyone well rested!

Later on today I'll talk about the new WoW games and the other announcements from Blizzcon! Please feel free to leave comments below telling me which announcements got you the most excited!
