Over the weeks eSports has been growing at an exponential rate and huge headlines have been rolling out daily surrounding what, to most, almost seems like an overnight phenomenon.

This has been proven once more by what is normally a physical sports dedicated magazine has selected the very first eSports player to be featured on the COVER.

A preview of the cover thanks to Ninja's Twitter!

It was just announced that ESPN Magazine is going to be adorned with the face of Richard Tyler Blevins, also known as Ninja!

Ninja got his start in the competitive gaming sphere by playing Halo 3 professionally nine years ago. Since that humble beginning, he has gone from tournaments to earning $500,000 a month playing Fortnite and being the number one streamer on Twitch! His Youtube channel is also swamped with 17 million followers.

With a career like his it is no surprise that he is soon to become the face of eSports.

He has gained many followers not just for the gaming skills he obviously has but also for his charitable donations. He has helped raise over $392,000 for various charities, one of which being the American Association for Suicide Prevention. Suicide and mental health are a huge issue in the world of eSports so this hit close to home for many followers. But he didn't stop there, himself and the electronic phenomenon Marshmello who played in the E3 Tournament together and won, donated $1 million to charities of their choice. Ninja donated his half to the Alzheimer's Association.

With a net worth estimated at about $6 million dollars, Ninja is one of the most popular and most lucrative eSports players out there.

His feature on the cover of ESPN magazine will surely only propel him even further into the limelight. Naturally, eSports will come along with him!

Now we just sit back and wait to see how many huge names normally only tied to the realm of physical sports will be investing!

Between the consideration for the Olympics, the magazine cover, and the sponsorship by massive companies like Mastercard, eSports will continue to rocket towards the moon!
