As everyone knows, most interest in eSports starts early.
In fact, the best Fortnite player in the world is only 13 years old! Well, if there was ever a market to be tapped, it would be children's involvement in eSports.
Team Rogue recently launched Junior Rogue, a mentorship program that is designed to give kids proper training and realistic expectations when it comes to careers in the gaming industry.
Many of them aspire to be the next big names in the eSports world, but Junior Rogue is there to expose the youth to the real lives of those in the sphere through live speakers and big names. They also want to expose them to other paths in the world of games when it comes to careers outside of just playing!
It is a brilliant move offering this program to the young Fortnite players of the world with it's raging popularity.
Those that join Junior Rogue can look forward to a travel stipend for events they are to attend, a $500 scholarship, and weekly online seminars and classes. But what has them really excited? They also get customized graphic elements, streaming equipment and formal recognition from the organization.
Members can also expect to speak to the likes of DrLupo who is heading the project and there seems to be some talk about one on one coaching!
Junior Rogue is open to anyone in the U.S. and U.S. Territories that are under the age of 18. So if you've got a sibling or child that would benefit from the program and plays Fortnite like a beast, make sure you have the application submitted before October 1st!
They will be required to submit their best hour of recorded Fortnite gameplay along with the application, as Rogue Junior is expected to be quite competitive. Which isn't altogether surprising since it is eSports and Team Rogue is a huge name in that field!
