Another day has passed at the Consumer Electronics Show of 2019 and it seems that there is a huge focus this year on making PC gaming more portable than ever!

It seems that the main goal for many companies was to put out some of the best gaming laptops and peripherals possible! With an emphasis on power!

Once again, there is too much to put in a single post so I'll be spacing everything out in different posts or you will be here all day.

Let's take a look at some of the high-performance laptops that have created the biggest splash at CES thus far!

If you've ever wanting to build your own PC but also wanted the portability of a laptop, now is the time!

The Area-51m is a totally upgradeable, intended to be broken down, laptop. It appears to be one of the first of it's kind, especially since it is boasting some pretty decent specs and hardware. In fact, they have been bold enough to claim it is the most powerful gaming laptop around!

However, buyer beware, the upgrading is solely dependant on finding parts that are compatible, so you have to choose carefully and realize you might be limited in the future!

The massive 17" gaming rig that almost looks like a tablet is capable of supporting up to an 8 core processor, has 144Hz refresh with G-sync, eye tracking hardware, and the GPU options are the RTX series! That's right, portable ray tracing!

The storage can also be upgraded to a whopping 3 terabytes!

The most surprising part? The price tag is not nearly as high as expected at about $2,000 USD and will be available for purchase in less than two weeks!

Samsung gives gaming laptops another go

They had tried once and it didn't seem to go that well, but it seems they are ready to try again!

Like with many consumer laptops this year, they seem to be building their PCs around the RTX series graphics card and Samsung is no different in this regard. But they are trying a couple new things and it has, at the very least, caught people's attention.

Sporting a very strange hinge, the Samsung Odyssey has arrived with the options of the RTX line GPUs and an 8th Gen hexacore processor! (an I7) It has the room for two SSDs and a single HDD currently and runs on 16GB of RAM. It has a pretty impressive fan cooling system with two fans each with over 80 blades to ensure it stays as cool as possible without liquid.

Of course, the buzzword of the year, G-sync is compatible with the 15.6" screen with a 144hz refresh! Sadly, it isn't a 4k display but those that tested it out don't seem to mind too much!

There isn't any pricing information available as of yet, but it will hopefully be announced soon since it is supposed to be available in "early" 2019!

ASUS ROG Mothership, the gaming tablet

Every gaming wave is going to have that weird offshoot, and it appears that this is the one for the CES gaming laptops!

If you've ever wanted to be able to game on a Surface Pro... well, here you go! But don't let that prospect put you off because this hefty piece of tech is toting around some serious specs.

Weighing in at almost 5kg (that's 10.5 lbs for you Murican types), the mothership is kitted out with a Core i9 at 4.8GHz. One of the more powerful CPU's to be featured! It also has the RTX 2080 GPU, 64 GB DDR5 of RAM, and over 17" display. Of course, the display has G-sync and is refreshing at 144Hz!

If you need ports, well, this deceptively clunky tablet has you covered in pretty much any area you can imagine with 3 USBs, Thunderbolt 3, Kensington lock, microphone and mic/headphone jack at 3.5mm, Ethernet, SD card reader, and VirtualLink.

Once again, pricing is to be announced! So keep your eyes peeled!

Are there any laptops that didn't make the list that you're excited about owning? Would you be interested in me doing a stand-alone post explaining what the infamous "G-sync" is? Let me know below!
