Yesterday was the first day of TwitchCon and there were some amazing announcements that are sure to delight streamers and gamers out there!

TwitchCon 2018 from @twitchcon on Twitter!

In an effort to make Twitch even more social, Twitch will start a testing beta on "Squad Stream"! This will allow up to four players to cast together on the platform while they play competitively! This opens the door for matches and fan favorites teaming up or pitting against each other live and exclusively on the platform!

Not to mention, it will be a lot of fun! Especially with the other addition that is bundled in with it. Coming with the Squad Streaming is a neat feature from the creator of Rock Band- Twitch Sings!

From an announcement clip taken by an audience member at TwitchCon!

Have you ever wanted to see your favorite Streamers sing or possibly get a chance to do some digital karaoke with them? Well, probably not but now you can! It will be a built in game where viewers can control the ambiance by fiddling with the lighting on the digital stage and requesting songs in the chat! Sadly, since Twitch doesn't have any music licensing, the songs will be fake or parody versions. But if it takes off, who's to say that won't be their next investment!

Think of the possibilities! Especially the ones revolving around losing a bet and having to perform "Baby got posterior" in an off key beat in front of a live audience! THAT would be worth it.

Both of these features are going to hit beta before the year is out so I imagine the features will overlap in availability!

If you're wanting a Twitch feature that is readily available, they have a third announcement and it's live right now! You can now use Snapchat filters and lenses directly through your desktop! This feature will be available to use with all video applications (skype, youtube, twitch) on your PC and can be used during live streams! There are mentions of many video game AR lenses having been submitted to Snapchat and these could easily be created and implemented as exclusives, which seems to be the drive as you can get the filters from streamers by using a code during a live stream! This could very well open the door for personalized filters on a large scale! (For both advertisement and for fun)

If you've ever wanted to play Overwatch while wearing a puppy face filter, it is your time to shine!

Not to be outdone, though, is Blizzard. It is still a week from Blizzcon but with the release of some fun features rolling out of TwitchCo they made sure to stay relevant!

Blizzard just dropped their eSports mobile app and it is the one stop for any and all stats pertaining to their competitive games! It is similar to other sports apps out there with game schedules, stats, tournament tracking, news, and plenty of other nifty features! It is available for both Android and iOS.

And it is live right now!

Perfect timing to track how the tournaments are going for some of their biggest titles!

Over the next week, the news and updates from these two huge conventions will definitely give the eSports world plenty to talk about! So stick around!

Stay tuned for more similar content and e-sports!!

Have a fantastic day,
