A small football club that plays in Turkey's non-professional division reportedly sold its players to buy goats. Gulspor, the club in Isparta, has sold 18 players and bought 10 goats, and plans to sell milk and mutton.

The club's president, Kenan Buyukleblebi, said, from the sale of 18 young players, they got 15,000 lira funds, or Rp. 35.8 million. Buyukleblebi said, he was forced to sell players because as a small club, they had no income from sponsors or the government.

Proclaimed Oddity Central Monday (08/20/2018), this step must be done because one of Turkey's oldest clubs, founded in 1954, began to get entangled in financial problems.

Buyukleblebi said, they have 150 players who can penetrate professional caste. However, Gulspor did not receive a penny. "We have to start earning regular income. We have to find additional investments for our young players," Buyukleblebi said.

He explained, by selling goat meat and milk, Gulspor could reap profits of up to 5,000 lira, or Rp. 11.9 million. Some of these benefits, in addition to connecting the life wheel of the club, are also used to increase the number of goats. "Until the next six years or in 2024, I hope this club has 140 goats to help the club's economy," he explained. "I think breeding goats is a very positive thing.

We buy it to educate quality players, "he said, quoted by CNN Turkey.
