With the approaching launch of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, questions abound for some about the experience this game will offer. But the main question for everyone is how will this game be linked to the Assassin’s story in the first place?

The game writer has assured that it will serve as a good summary of the series' games story. Since Valhalla will be the conclusion to many of the questions left by the previous parts, and perhaps we will finally get answers to the ends of the previous sections and thus close its page.

To clarify some things more, let us take you on a journey to learn the origins of the Assassins as Ubisoft redefined it for us, starting with the Origin section. Thousands of years before the first part of Assassin's Creed there was what was known as the Hidden Ones and the Order of the Ancients.

Who are the Hidden Ones?

We first got to know them with the Assassin's Creed: Origins segment, which takes place between 49-43 B.C., as well as 400 years after Assassin's Creed Odyssey, 900 years before Valhalla and 1,200 years before the events of the first part of the series.

Hidden Ones is a fraternity founded by Pike and his wife Aya in response to the emergence of a secret society called the Order of the Ancients who were working underground and manipulating Egypt's rulers and politicians according to their own ideology. After the victory of Pike and his wife, they established this brotherhood to be the nucleus of the Assassins, as we defined them in the pre-Origen parts, and its goal was to protect the peoples who struggle for justice and against authoritarianism.

Who are the Order of the Ancients?

The earliest version of the Templars organization was established 1,300 years before the events of the Origin Part and 900 years before the events of the Odyssey part. Its roots start in ancient Egypt and they are a group searching for ancient items such as the Apple of Eden who possess superpowers that allow them to control.

This group aims to spread an ideology about how to run order in the world and they believe that their ideas will bring peace and prosperity to countries. Even if the price for achieving this is the death of hundreds of innocent people, they consider them sacrifices for the sake of their ultimate goal.

The Order is made up of men and women from aristocratic classes and influential people that began in Egypt and expanded to Persia and then to Europe and England. They used their influence to manipulate rulers throughout history such as Darius I and Julius Caesar

What is Valhalla's role in this conflict?

Mystery still surrounds the Order between the events of Assassin's Creed: Origins and the first part of the series. We do not know anything about their role in the Middle Ages and here comes the role of Valhalla, as we think to bridge this gap.

Everyone wonders how a Viking warrior named Eivor would meet with the nucleus of the Assassins Hidden Ones and stand with them in their struggle against the secret organization that was the nucleus of the Tumblers later?

The events of Valhalla take place in the ninth century AD, at which time the Hidden Ones and the Order of the Ancients were present more than a thousand years ago and they did not get the names of the Assens and the Templars until nearly 200 years after the events of Valhalla. We know that the Templar dominated England through the previous series, such as the first part and Syndicate, and we believe that King Alfred and the Anglo-Saxons will lay the foundation for the Tumblers' control of England in the Middle Ages.

What does Eivor have to do with Assassins? Ubisoft published a game story presentation in which we saw Ivor closer to being Assassins than just a Viking, and this is after his meeting with the character Assassins, an Arab from Constantinople - the city that Ezio later visited - called “Bassem” who came with Sigurd, Eivor's adopted brother who gave them the Hidden Blade weapon - it was already done. Confirmation of the return of the instant kill with hidden blade - and with that, we realized how the Assassins got to Norway. And we saw clips showing Ivor wearing a hood and sneaking behind enemy lines, with warnings to him of the dangers of this trip and how it will have a major impact on his destiny.

The author of Valhalla mentioned that we, as players, would be surprised by how different the goals of the Order of The Ancients are from the Tumblers, but of course their struggle with Hidden Ones continues because of their intention to acquire England. Of course, this land, as we heard the show, hides many secrets, and it seems that one of them is linked to an ancient secret.

With this we believe that the next part will represent the link between the parts of Origin and Odyssey and the previous parts of the series and clarify the different names for Assassins or the Templars and we are all excited to know what is Ivor's role in all this?

We recall that Valhalla is coming on November 10 on Xbox One and Xbox Series X as well as PlayStation 4, computer and the Stadia platform, while it will be launched for PlayStation 5 to coincide with its global launch. The author of the game had promised the players that the way Assassin's Creed Valhalla story was told will be different from any other game unique to fans of the series, and it also would not present side quests in the traditional way.
