Kickstarter exlusive set

In my travels across esports in crypto I have come across a little Candian outfit with a crazy good game. Imagine permadeath and constant progression. Now I consider myself to be an ok interviewer but it still feels good to find a solid interview done with the same guy. Done by an affiliate of ABC news none the less! It is a long one but still packed full of details none the less. When SCR gets to the price level I am anticipating I will be able to have more sit down interviews and shower you guys with content. the questions and answers were done over telegram chat. Ralph and I have known each other for the better part of a year and we enjoy our conversations. Hope you will too!

Below is the official reveal trailer that made me drool a little. I am a bad smack talker ask @Mikey

The FIRST interview between Swolesome and Ralph Laemmche CEO/Producer of Touchhour Inc.

What was your inspiration for the game?

My love for fantasy pvp in mmorpgs since Ultima Online and in games like the Souls series. Back in the day the stakes were higher and pvp was way more risky. You could lose loot or atleast there were some forms of death penalties. But really no game has ever been made that tailors to the dueling scene. Most games feature team-based competition like Mobas. But for players that prefer the 1on1 aspect of competition, there has not been anything like 9Lives Arena ever.

Enjin is a core piece to the game. For someone who is first hearing about that and your

game. Can you explain what Enjin makes possible in the game and why it matters to the

players?

Blockchain technology and video games is a match made in heaven! Enjin is a visionary blockchain solution tailor-made for gaming. It enables us to give players true item ownership! Gamers buy skins or ingame items since many years but without blockchain those items are left behind when they move on to other games.

With Enjin based ingame items players can keep the stuff they own when they move on to other games. They can just hang on to them as collectibles or they could trade them or sell them to other players. Clever players will be able to make a profit playing games, getting in on items early and later selling those with a profit. Or in some cases if they own items made out of a good amount of Enjin they could also decide to melt those to get the Enjin out of them…

In a few years from now players won’t buy ingame items any longer that are not on the blockchain. True item ownership is pretty revolutionary and will have a big impact on the games industry.

Are you planning to host a competition with prize pools?

Yes we will have seasons that probably last around 3 months each. In between we will update the game with more content, additional spells, player races, Arenas and so on… We plan to team up with local sponsors to host tournaments in different regions around the globe.

Multiverse weapons and items are becoming a bugger buzzword. Which project/games have you seen some possible integration with?

We are supporting the lore backed multiverse items that Enjin has developed. These are really rare and they have very special use cases or magical powers ;) they remind me of the very special items they had in “ready player one” any player who will own these will be very lucky. As of right now they can bring them across 6 or 7 games. But that number will grow and am sure they will still exist in games when all of us are long gone…

What is an Ooogy and why does it add depth to your game?

Something like an Ooogy has never existed before. He is your ingame companion and he does all the resource gathering and item crafting for you and even works on unlocking spells and abilities for the player.

But the best part is that he continues to work for the player when he/she is offline and away from the game. All Ooogy needs is Fish stew to keep him going…

While away from the game you can use our mobile companion App to get in touch with your Ooogy, see how he is progressing and maybe make him switch tasks…

Next time you are back in the main game, Ooogy has new stuff ready for you to play around with!

Explain how big of a deal that the kick starter (which still has three weeks to go) reached

its goal in 24 hours.

Reaching our initial goal within 24 hours just showed that we already have a small but mighty community that strongly believes in the game. Right now we have even moved on and reached our first stretch goal of 50K CDN$. With 17 days still to go we now try to reach the next stretch goal of 100K CDN$ which will unite all our backers by giving them all a Kickstarter only playable race for the game. Therefore we encourage any backer to reach out to their friends and spread the word.

And finally:

Where do you see the game in three years?

In three years from today the game will be up and running for over 2 years and will be available on PC and Consoles with the companion App on mobile.

As an online service, we will have grown, the game has become bigger and more polished and we will be hosting annual tournaments around the globe. Blockchain based item trading will have become a game on its own and we will continue to work close with our player base to keep the game growing.

There you have it esports fan. A rocking game where you can earn cryptobacked items for sockin newbs.

Any follow up questions I should ask?

I am all ears. Score on!
